Yes from experience in IT and also a mate who works in advertising I would think their claim is true , it is not so easy to make a statement like that in an add, you really have to back it up. Remember this is an average. Lots of this will include managers and directors and banking in London where the rates are very high, if you like in mid Wales you will struggle to get that. IT is also quite a broad term, not fixing PCs or being good at Office, many are just project managers who happen work in IT.
