What does being a hair model require?

I saw that my local salon needs a hair model. Do I have to be stunningly pretty and thin??? Or is it just to practise? Does my hair need to be a certain style or length???? Do I have to pay alot??? Will they colour my hair??? Will I get to choose what is done, or do they just do whatever????? Thanks!!!!
