Is it true that the leaders of hamas are in hiding?

I read that the leaders of hamas have gone into hiding. This should not be true, these are the people that are calling on others to attack Israel up to and including suicide bombers. These cowards leave gaza, order rockets to be fired into Israel, just so others can take the brunt of the Israeli response?What does allah think of such cowardice?
