Science is becoming more diverse than ever, what are the recently created fields in the last year?

2007 has been a good year for biology as new findings seem to be popping everywhere. Nanoorganisms were found in a cave believed to be uninhabitable. The findings suggest life on other planets as well. Nanotechnology, a subfield in biotechnology, is being developed to harness the photosynthetic process to produce electricity (alternative to fossil fuels) Many colleges are also offering astrobiology courses although no new finding has ever been discovered on Mars except for the deposits of silica in the soil. What's new about science? I want to know!
