Can i transfer from a CCC to a UC in a year?

I am looking to go to college next Fall. I have considered attending a CCC first and transferring to UCSD. I wanted to know if it was possible to do so in a year? And if so, is difficult? I know of someone who did this in a semester , but dont know if it requires certain cirstances. Any information would be helpful.
