Do you remember this book/movie?

It was about rabbits or hares... they had "sentry rabbits" to guard the holes and such. They had a whole system... LOL I did a book report on it when i was younger and just can't remember the name and it's driving me crazy!!! There is also a movie based on the book. The title is at least 4 words.... Can you help me out???
