What were Bertie Wooster's most endearing qualities?
Awww, Bertie's one of my favourite characters. He didn't have any endearing qualities, he was just one of Wodehouse's funniest characters. Still, if I have to say - his complete lack of enterprise, his great knack of getting into trouble (and into engagements with the most beautiful but most horrible women), his luck in getting out of them (both trouble and engagements), his almost correct dressing sense, his optimism, his great (and yet not irredeemable) stupidity and his good natured admittance of the fact, his being ever ready to get his friends out of trouble, even when they're only ping acquaintances, his fear and description of his aunts (Dahlia excluded, although she can scare him enough when she wants to) and his narrative style.
