Would you stop recognizing bad relatives?

i would recognize my bad relatives as a goal of what not to be ( like if you were giving a speech "i would like to thank so and so for showing me what not to be when i grew up " kinda thing) and if their children are close in the future with your family treat them with kindness to kind of ease out the bad blood
