Is Osama Bin Laden or Mahatma Gandhi the best hero for Human Being? Whose ideology we should follow?

I mean that Mahatma Gandhi fought against Britishers using weapons of Nonviolence and Truthfulness, even he went for suicide with his followers doing hunger strike to drive the Britishers away from India. Similarly, Osama Bin Laden is fighting against Americans using weapons of Suicide bombers or biological / chemical killing inocent people, at the end will he be able to succeed to defeat Americans? So whose ideology can really do good for human being? Or there will not be any end to it.
