What's the most interesting piece of propaganda you've ever heard from a religious source?

Be it a bible or 'book of truth' of some sort, a friend who pities you and says they'll pray for you, an angry protestor who says you're going to this or that form of the underworld, or even a crazy homeless man on a street corner screaming that we'll all die tomorrow, I think we've all heard someone or something try to sway us from our religious beliefs, or lack thereof, so that we commit ourselves to theirs. I don't mean to send people spewing flames of anger at other religions, this is open to anyone. What's the funniest, best, lamest, or just weirdest way someone's tried to convert you?
